Pastels, collar and bling-bling blue

Today's outfit is nothing really outstanding or special. It is more like a flower bouqet of all my favourite pastel colours in Spring, topped with a peter pan collar and some electric glittery highlights coming from the jumper. It's a little mix and match, trying and combining and finally having an ensemble that's nothing more than comfy. But I'm taking it easy :) Wish ya'll a lovely evening - may it be as comfortable and relaxing as mine. Haha Going to watch some crime series, there's nothing like a good episode of Criminal Minds or Law and Order.

Dance like no one's watching

I'm not a friend of conformity, nor other peoples' opinions. And I really wish that I could get along don't caring a fig for them, but I guess it's still a long way till I'm there.. Anyway, the following proverb is a good resolution for living a happy life I think. Must be.
"Dance like nobody's watching; love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening; live like it's heaven on earth." - Mark Twain

We went picknicking today in order to enjoy the sunny weather - it was wonderful! But the day had started much more frustrating as I stood in front of my wardrobe in the morning.. I really really reeaaalllyy felt like I had absolutely nothing to wear, which is nonsense, obviously. But sometimes everything you own seems just so old and boring or simply doesn't match with your mood. Maybe it's just that I have much more important things in mind than clothing matters at the time, that I'm in a little fashion-crisis lacking inspiration. And maybe you know about that 'problem' as well. (Let me know!) Just in time and before I was about to give up, I found the Zara t-shirt among uncountable masses of other tops. I love this one because it says 'BAD' in bold black letters, which reminds me of Michael Jackson's song and ironically alludes to my 'dark' side ;) Although I'm primarily known as a friendly, well-behaved, good girl, I'd say I'm definitely 'wild at heart'. My closest friends already know, but shh..

I need a little bit of happiness

Happiness - Jonathan Jeremiah

Last night I got dreadful news from my family that left me devastated. Hence I decided to dress black all over, for this colour expresses my feelings best. I'm not keen on talking about my feelings, though I love to listen to other peoples' problems and give them some helping advice - or just sit there and lend them my ear. But when it comes to my emotions, I won't talk; you can read them from eyes anyway.
Also writing helps. Songs, poems or - like I do now - blog entries. As Gotye sings in 'Somebody that I used to know',
"You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness"
and I always thought, that this line describes my character quite to the point. (Which does not mean that I am a moody, depressed and negative person out-and-out, not at all, but there's a certain melancholy which has always been a part of me.) Be that as it may, the state of mind I'm in at the time is beyond sadness, it's a paralyzing pain. It hurts mentally and physically and scares me to my bones for several reasons. So yes, Jonathan Jeremiah hits the point by singing 'I need a little bit of happiness'.

"Sweet dreams..

..are made of this who am I to disagree, I travelled the world and the seven seas, everybody's looking for something. Some of them want to use you, some of them want to get used by you, some of them want to abuse you, some of them want to be abused." - Eurythmics

Yellow Mellow

Today's outfit post is very casual due to a very casual and unexcited, unagitated day. When I put the combination together my aim was to 'create' something comfortable that is suitable for a couple of hours at university and reflects the beginning of springtime though. My ode to that was the colour yellow; and as you may know if you follow my blog, I always love to give simple 'high street fashion'-outfits a personal, kinda unique and special twist by adding vintage items or pieces which tell a story or at least look like that. ;)
The briefcase and bracelet are both precious finds from antique shops or flea markets, that were supposed to 'pimp' the black'n'white-disturbed by yellow-combo :)

Have a good night, sweet dreams and a lovely new spring day tomorrow!!

St. Patrick's Day

As high as the temperatures are the peoole's moods on a sunny spring weekend. At least it seems as though everybody is happy, out-going, relaxed. On yesterday's St. Patrick's Day the city had a very green touch! I decided to stick to the theme and be a cute little shamrock :) Hope you like it!
