Summer in the city

Whoop, whoop - summer's back and so am I! :) Today has been an extremely warm and sunny day, the city was full of tourists who built huge crowds around Vienna's points of interest and the ice cream-sellers have had a very stressful time at work. I was so free as to get myself a delicious frozen yogurt with melon topping and took a walk around town. I was kind of a tourist myself - taking loads of pictures, walking very slowly. But hey, the city is just beautiful. Especially in the sunshine. My dress was as bright as the people's moods and I felt very lucky to wear it, since the weather is remaining stable finally. Plus I love asymmetric dresses and skirts at the time!! Enjoy your weekends, lovelies.

Love, Julie.

Pyjama Party

Today I decided to dig my old paisley kinda 'baggy' looking trousers out of my wardrobe to try if they'd stand the ongoing pyjama trend. Wearing such loose pants is quite ambivalent to me - on the one hand, I love how comfortable they are but on the other hand I feel too shapeless to be pleased with my appearance. How do you think about the whole pj-style debate? Tell me more, tell me more.. :)

Lady in red wearing vintage

I really wish I could dress at least a little more summerly, but as it's April you'll never know what the weather will be like in the next few hours, or even minutes. So this is a bit of a challenge, what made me put on my freaky vintage boots from a London street market and the way too oversized (mens?) blazer from a nearby second hand shop, to be prepared for every situation. I truly hope that I can take OFF tights, jackets and all the other thick clothing as soon as possible, to be moaning over the blistering heat again ;) haha

Pink.

Since I was a little girl, I have always had a deep affection for the colour pink. Of course, this seems to be a typical attribute of every second girl outthere, but believe me - I was kinda obsessed. ;) Everything pink would catch my eye immediately, later on my room would look like a fluffy pink paradise (or hell for some haters) and also in music questions I would stick to that and be a loyal fan of - guess who - P!nk! Ain't that consequent? Ha! As I grew older, I still used to glance at pink stuff (especially decor) but in clothing matters it definitely had become less important than in my earlier days. The Doc Martens I'm wearing in the pictures of today's outfit were pretty much of an exception, but I simply had to have them a couple of years ago, when I saw a picture of Daisy Lowe wearing them. She has that natural (british?) talent of looking gorgeous in whatever she wears and has been my first it-girl (accompanied by Peaches Geldof) before Alexa and co. appeared on the scene.
So, I hope you like my little trip down memory lane since neon colours are quite fashionable again.

Love, Julie.

Reduce it to the max

Oh maxi skirt, i love you. Truly, there's hardly any piece of clothing that could be more comfy or give you a better feeling than a fluffy, semi transparent maxi skirt dancing round your legs, going with the wind. Unfortunately, I am not the skinniest, which makes my outfit look a lot less cool and badass than I'd wish for. Buuut as long as I'm too weak and lazy to do without chocolate and stuff, I'd probably better shut up and enjoy what I have. That's something all the ladies out there should do anyway - celebrate their (our) curves :))

Love, Julie.

Fresh

My dearest friends, I'm back. Finally. It's been crazy the last week - you know, bank holidays and of course my 'Carinthian laptop abstinence'. But as I am back in Vienna, I'm kicking off. You can see the change of my look and maybe recognize the change of my mood as well. I love my fresh hair colour and the cut, obiously. Today I wanted to give my new mustard vintage blouse a try and chose to combine it with a pastel colour you wouldn't immediately think of as a colour combo. It happened to be lilac this time as can be seen on my kinda freaky cowboy(girl) boots. Do you like the two tones? Let me know! Have a wonderful night, lovely readers.

Love, Julie.
