New Year's Eve Style Inspiration

ENG: Almost time to wish you a very happy new year! As always, the past twelve months seem to have gone by in a blink of an eye. 365 days full of good times, happy moments, overwhelming emotions, sadness, pain, laughter and love deserve to be celebrated one way or another! While I already opened the first bottle of champagne, I should be starting to plan tonight's outfit.. I'm pretty sure, many of you are about to have a crazy exciting NYE and a more or less excessive party night ahead. If you need some last minute style inspiration, I got your back! The collage above consists of basic pieces, most girls have at home: something glittery, a black dress, lace, booties, heels, a clutch and a leather jacket. GER: Fast ist es schon wieder an der Zeit, Euch ein gutes neues Jahr zu wünschen - die vergangenen zwölf Monate sind wie immer, nahezu im Flug vergangen. 365 Tage voller glücklicher Stunden, traurigen Momenten, Spaß und Liebe liegen hinter uns und wollen gebührend gefeiert werden. Viele machen sich nichts aus Silvester, aber ich habe bereits die erste Flasche Champagner geköpft und sollte mich langsam daran machen, mir ein Outfit für heute Abend rauszusuchen. {Outfit} All Black & Some Winter Extravaganza

ENG: For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by extraordinary fashion pieces. My grandma has probably had a major impact on my love for all things fancy, so here I am, twenty-three years old, wearing a leopard coat and a beanie with some dramatic fishnet attached. Ha! And let me tell you.. the irritated looks I got when I was out and about in this faux-fur gem have been insane. People stared and I was even offered pot. For free. 

However, my most favourite go-to attire will forever be anything black! So, pairing these opulent garments with an all black 'uniform' seemed legit. By the way, the lipstick I'm wearing is the exact shade of the current Guerlain giveaway, running till' Sunday.

GER: Seit ich denken kann, war ich fasziniert von außergewöhnlichen Kleidungsstücken und Accessoires. Meine Oma hat mich seit jeher inspiriert und beeinflusst und mir ihre Liebe für extravagante Mode weitergegeben. Nun stehe ich hier, dreiundzwanzig Jahre alt, in einen kuscheligen Leoparden-Mantel gehüllt, mit einer dramatischen Netz-Beanie am Kopf ;)

Ihr könnt Euch kaum vorstellen, wie mich die Leute angestarrt haben - jemand hat mir tatsächlich sogar Gratis-Pot angeboten.. aber klar, ich bin die Verrückte. Haha.

Every once in a while, the drugstore chain DM is selling exclusive boxes online, always with different themes, such as 'natural cosmetics', 'household helpers' or 'advent bakery' etc. You can currently get your hands on very limited christmas editions throughout this week! GER: Mein erstes kleines Weihnachtsgeschenk habe ich dieses Jahr bereits an meiner Türschwelle vorgefunden. {Recipe} Vapiano Pasta Salvia & a Giveaway

EN: Happy first of advent, my loves! The most magical time of the year finally is in full swing and besides the kitschy christmassy stuff, what I love most about those few weeks is spending time with people dear to my heart. Especially in wintertime, you can get cozied up inside and host movie nights, advent celebrations or laid-back food feasts. A super yum recipe is veggie 'Pasta Salvia' and shhh.. I'm gonna tell you the secret of preparing it, straight out of the holy kitchens of Vapiano. 

There's a teeny tiny giveaway as well, if you scroll to the end of the post.

Here's what you need:

Olive Oil

Garlic

Chili (optional!)
Salt and Pepper

Fresh Sage

Dried Tomatoes

Feta Cheese (crumbled)

Parmesan Cheese

Pasta of your choice

1.) Until your pasta is al dente, preheat a pan, put olive oil, garlic and a handful of fresh sage leaves inside. Sage will lose its bitter taste, when you'll let the leaves get a little cross inside the oil. 

2.) Add dried tomatoes, stir, reduce heat, season with salt, pepper (and chili) and put the feta cheese to the mixture. 

3.) Add pasta, stir thoroughly and add a good portion of parmesan cheese before serving to your guests. Et voilá, a super delicious and ridiculously easy meal is ready to be enjoyed!

GER: Schönen ersten Advent wünsche ich Euch, Ihr Lieben! Was mich neben all dem herrlichen Weihnachtskitsch besonders freut, ist die gemütliche Zeit zuhause, die sich perfekt dafür eignet, mit besonderen Menschen nette Stunden zu verbringen. Egal, ob kuschelige Filmabende, Spielerunden oder Kochsessions - den Dezember verbringt man am besten gemeinsam! Heute habe ich ein genial-einfaches Rezept für Euch: die originale 'Pasta Salvia' aus den heiligen Vapiano-Küchen ;) 

Ihr braucht dazu lediglich Olivenöl, Knoblauch, Salz und Pfeffer, Chili für diejenigen, die es gerne scharf wollen, getrocknete Tomaten, frische Salbeiblätter, Feta, Parmesan und natürlich Pasta Eurer Wahl. Während die Nudeln al dente kochen, erhitzt Ihr Öl in einer Pfanne, gebt Knoblauch und Salbei dazu. Die Blätter verlieren den bitteren Geschmack, wenn Ihr sie leicht knusprig 'frittiert'. Danach Tomaten dazu, würzen und den Feta unterheben. Zum Schluss die Pasta unter die Mischung rühren und vor dem Servieren mit Parmesan verfeinern. Fertig ist ein wunderbar schnelles, leckeres Gericht!

{Travels} Paris extraordinaire

While macarons, baguette and champagne are a pretty big deal in Paris, the French capital has a lot more to offer than luxurious brands and sophistication. Besides Luis Vuitton & Ladurée, there's a whole different side to the cliché parts of the city - a vibrant, urban lifestyle full of glorious hidden places, fun people and even things to discover for free. In today's travel post, I wanna take you on a journey to Paris, which is not only the 'city of love', but also of art, freedom and a hunger for life. A city full of spirit, that no terrorist attack will ever manage to break, no matter how inhumane and fatal.

When I first visited Paris a couple of years ago, of course, all the touristy sightseeing spots were on my list. I also had the pleasure of being invited to the French Open by Lacoste and spent a high class weekend in the city. Needless to say, that I got quite engaged in all the indulgence back then. This time around, though, Paris felt so much more appealing to me - so real - and offered a completely new insight in a multicultural, modern yet historical, exciting place to explore, dream and live. I am no expert at all, hence I'm gonna list you my favourite spots below, since my good friend E. has been living in Paris for some years now and there's truly no better way of finding out about insider tipps than following a local's footsteps.

Places to go:

Musée Carnavalet (16 Rue des Francs Bourgeois, 75003 Paris) - Beautiful small museum (free entry) with an enchanted garden, French history and Marie Antoinette's relicts

Amazing Food & Drinks:

L'as Du Fallafel (32-34 Rue des Rosiers, 75004 Paris) - Best fallafel sandwich I ever had, also said to be the very best in town; celebs like Lenny Kravitz usually grab food there

Le Papacionu (7 Rue Cadet, 75009 Paris) - Incredible Corsican Pizza (to die for!!)

Le People's Drugstore (78 rue des Martyrs, 75018 Paris) - A super cool, shabby/hipster beer bar with fancy sorts (I liked the champagne one best!) at low prices, near Pigalle

Brioche Dorée (literally at any corner, like Mc D., Starbucks,.. you name it) - My favourite tartelettes and daily treats (whoops..)! Try chocolate banana and raspberry vanilla.

Shopping Tipps:

Free'P'Star Vintage Shop (20 Rue de Rivoli, 75004 Paris) - very cheap, well sorted vintage clothing; perfect for treasure hunters 

Printemps (102 Rue de Provence, 75009 Paris) - famous shopping mall with amazing food halls, luxurious brands and super cute baking/stationery areas (Miss Etoile etc.)

Tipp: L'as Du Fallafel, Musée Carnavalet & Free'P'Star are in walking distance (about 10-15 mins) and centered in one very lovely neighborhood! There's loads of other (vintage) stores in that area as well (hello embroidered silk jacket!) and a very charming, calm hidden park, where you can enjoy your sandwich outdoors!
