Outfit: Tulle Skirt & Oversized Biker Jacket

ENG: Just in time for the weekend, I wanna show you the outfit I wore on a recent Sunday brunch date. After shopping the two main pieces of this look the day before - and not intending to wear them combined any time soon - I could not resist, after all. The sale picks immediately lifted my mood and coping with the chilly weather was no problem at all. (Yes, I wore an additional coat, that's why!) 

The glittery oversized jacket originally reminded me of the crazy-cool stage outfits of Austrian band Bilderbuch, but instead of waiting until this year's festival season opening, I gave it a girly try with the ballerina skirt - call it a warm up.

GER: Rechtzeitig zum Einläuten des Wochenendes, zeige ich Euch heute ein Outfit, das ich vor Kurzem zu einem Sonntagsbrunch-Date getragen habe. Nach dem Ergattern der zwei Keypieces des Looks im Sale am Tag davor, konnte ich schließlich doch nicht warten, bis die Temperaturen wieder steigen und schlüpfte - entgegen meiner ursprünglichen Pläne - kurzerhand in meine neue oversized Glitzer-Jacke, die mich sofort an die Band Bilderbuch erinnerte, und zog auch den Ballerina Tüll-Rock dazu an. Ein Stilmix als Warm Up für die bevorstehende Festivalsaison, sozusagen. Apropos warm.. gefroren habe ich dank eines zusätzlichen Mantels keine Sekunde ;)

Culinary Vienna: Gerstner Café Restaurant & Salons Privés at Palais Todesco

ENG: Shortly before Christmas, I was invited to experience the newly opened Gerstner Café & Restaurant at Palais Todesco, located next to their Gerstner K.u.K. Hofzuckerbäcker & Schlumberger Café and Lounge in Vienna's picturesque first district. You already know about my love for patisserie and the quality, which Gerstner always provides, so perhaps, you won't be surprised about my positive review for the new location, the food and great wines and the friendly stuff. I took the tasting quite seriously and had multiple treats & drinks, which is why you rather believe me ;)

What I find seriously appealing, is the range of vegan alternatives for both, main dishes and cake. Also, the price range is beyond reasonable and the imperial architecture is a stunner. Overlooking the State Opera and winterly city lights outside, isn't too bad, either. Oh, and don't be afraid to spontaneously stop by for a coffee or glass of wine - even though the location might look fancy AF, there's no special dress code required and the atmosphere is utterly relaxed.

GER: In der Weihnachtszeit wurde ich eingeladen, mir Gerstners neueste Niederlassung in den umgestalteten Prunkräumen des Palais Todesco anzusehen. Als Fan von Patisserie und der gewohnten Qualität des Hauses, ließ ich mich nicht lange bitten und überzeugte mich auch diesmal vor Ort von den Neuerungen - angefangen bei den beeindruckenden Räumlichkeiten, bis hin zu der erweiterten Speisekarte, die nun auch Hauptgerichte und vegane Alternativen enthält. 

Nach eingehender Verkostung und einigen Stunden abendlichen Verweilens, hat mich auch die neueste Location in ihren Bann gezogen. Architektonisch wie qualitativ; Service, Geschmack und Lage überzeugen einfach! Ich kann jedenfalls einen Besuch nur empfehlen, denn auch, wenn das kaiserliche Ambiente im Nobelbezirk auf den ersten Blick zu elegant und teuer erscheint, können die Preise locker mit Starbucks verglichen werden (wenn nicht sogar mit Luft nach oben!) und die Atmosphäre ist angenehm, wozu bestimmt auch das nette Personal beiträgt.
